Planned Gifts: Finding Your Voice and Magnetism to Attract Estate Gifts

Join the AFP Western MA chapter at its March breakfast program as we welcome our guest speakers Katherine McKay, Director of Gift Planning, College of the Holy Cross and Nel Lazour, Director of Development, The Hanover Theatre.

Finding the right words, the right time, and the right audience for a planned giving discussion might seem insurmountable - but it's easy. Even you can become a natural at starting these conversations and having them lead to meaning gifts for your donors and your organization.   

Katherine McKay will walk us through a painless overview of gift basics you should know and provide specific language to help you initiate conversations, overcome objections, and close gifts. Nel Lazour will share her experience establishing a legacy society for a new cultural organization and offer ideas for how a small development operation can attract and keep new members.

This session is for development officers, planned giving officers, executive directors and board members.
